Hi everyone!
This month we are going to talk about primary colours and those which result from the addition and absence of light in "Friday Outfits". That is, red, green, blue, white and black. So you can use the correct accessories to ger your look.
The chosen colour to open June is blue. The Modern English word comes from the Middle English bleu or blewe, from the old French bleu, a word of Germanic origin blao.
We can found this colour just looking up to the sky, or in case of being close to the coast, in the sea. Why is the sky blue? Because molecules in the air scatter blue light from the sun more than they scatter red light. When we look towards the sun at sunset, we see red and orange colours because the blue light has been scattered out and away from the line of sight.
There it goes some curiosities about blue colour:
-Blue belongs to a cold colour scheme and gives a sense of distance. So, when an object is far away, in the horizon, we see it slightly blue. This is because the same reason we see a blue sky.
-In some cultures, royalness is called "blue blood" because Kings didn't labour and had a pale skin, standing his veins out with a blue colour.
-"Blue" can be used in a sentence to say that someone is drunk (Germany), novice (France) or young (Japan)
-Blue colour has a different understanding in every culture. In Japan, the green traffic light can seem blue for occidental people.
-The colour of Europe flag is blue due to historic differences related with religion, society or culture. Blue was the only colour in common in their flags or symbols. This symbolises peace.
All the pieces are available on our website and in our boutique in C / Nuñez de Balboa, 90 Madrid. Do not hesitate to come and visit us whenever you wish. It will be a pleasure to welcome you!
