- For 2023, Visconti has chosen to remember Alexander the Great (356-323 BC) as it is the 2300th anniversary of his death. The victor of many battles and conqueror of many territories, he died in Babylon when he was only 32 years old, but he left an extraordinary legacy. He founded and re-established numerous cities, including the largest city in the ancient world, Alexandria in Egypt, the centre of Hellenistic civilisation. The pen is cylindrical in shape, with the ends tapering into a section reminiscent of Greek columns. On the central ring is an inscription that reads 'Alexander the Great', and the clip, made of antiqued bronze, is shaped like a spear.
