- This Namiki Nippon Art Flower Basket fountain pen includes the Hira Maki-e technique, where the main lacquered design is adorned with sprinkled gold and silver powders. Several additional layers of lacquer are then applied. Once the lacquer has hardened, it is polished. This beautiful piece is decorated with floral motifs.

Namiki Flower Basket Pen
This is my first Namiki pen and it is a total winner. First it is absolutely gorgeoa happy, cheerful scene that tells you this writing session is going to be fun. Second it feels good in the hand like a perfect fit. Third it writes like a dream smooth, no or very little feedback, beautiful thin line that just glides over the page. In short everything a fountain should be and with a beautiful decoration thrown in for good measure. OK I am totally pleased with this pen and I bet if you get one you will be too.
